Team of South Africans finds leopard in the strangest place

Deep in the mountains of Azerbaijan, an expedition of South Africans search for the endangered Caucasian leopard also known as the Persian Leopard.

Yes, you read right, leopard in Europe. Over a number of backbreaking months, this expedition was on a mission to find proof of the Caucasian leopard.

Photographer and filmmaker Adrian Steirn leads the expedition, and has spent almost two years in Azerbaijan. Finally they found a female Caucasian leopard with two young cubs. The challenges and the outcomes have been turned into The World’s Most Wanted Leopard, a documentary which is currently airing on Nat Geo Wild.
